The contract also includes provisions for periodic purchase orders and a reciprocal risk-sharing framework for demand and supply fluctuations. Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) has announced a significant step towards its decarbonization and Net-Zero goals by transitioning its key manufacturing facilities in India to 100% 'Green Power' generated from wind and solar sources. This move, enabled by MSEDCL, is expected to reduce scope 2 emissions by approximately 65% in its Optical Fibre (OF) and Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) plants. Additionally, STL has integrated 100% Green Hydrogen into its glass manufacturing, decarbonizing a critical stage of optical fibre production. The company also reported an 80% reduction in the carbon footprint of its G.657.A2 optical fibre, from 4.7 Kg CO₂e/fkm to 0.9 Kg CO₂e/fkm. STL has also updated its corporate mobility policy to encourage electric and hybrid vehicles, aiming to lower its Scope 3 emissions.

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) announced that the Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati has partly allowed a writ petition filed by the company. The petition was against the State of Andhra Pradesh, Kakinada Smart City Corporation Limited, and others, concerning a contract for the development and implementation of Smart City Solutions in Kakinada. This legal matter relates to STL's former Global Services Business. Following a Scheme of Arrangement approved by the NCLT, Mumbai, STL's Global Services Business was demerged into STL Networks Limited, effective March 31, 2025. Consequently, any contingent gain or benefit from this legal matter now pertains to STL Networks Limited, which has filed its own disclosure.

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) has successfully concluded a litigation with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) concerning a demand notice of ₹8.56 Crores. The demand, issued in August 2020 for alleged violation of IP-I Registration terms, was contested by STL. An Arbitral Award dated May 17, 2023, quashed the demand entirely. DoT challenged this award, but the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi dismissed their petition, upholding the award in STL's favor. This outcome means STL has zero financial or operational exposure from this matter.
