Syngene International Ltd reported its Q1 FY27 results, with revenue from operations at ₹736 Cr, a 16% decrease year-on-year from ₹875 Cr in Q1 FY26. Operating EBITDA saw a significant drop of 56% to ₹91 Cr from ₹206 Cr. The company cited a lack of offtake from a major biologics client and forex hedge loss as primary reasons for the performance dip. Profit After Tax (PAT) before exceptional items was ₹11 Cr, down 99% from ₹87 Cr. The company announced strategic shifts with Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw taking on the role of Executive Chairperson and Siddharth Mittal as the new MD & CEO. They aim to focus on CDMO and AI-led services for sustainable growth. The company also announced board changes with Dr. Vijaya Chandru and Dr. Arun Chandavarkar appointed as Independent Directors, while Dr. Kush Parmar steps down.
