TNPL Appoints Thiru R Kannan as Director

Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers Ltd (TNPL) has appointed Thiru R Kannan, I.A.S., as an Additional Director to its Board, effective June 8, 2026. This appointment, nominated by the Government of Tamil Nadu, replaces Thiru T Anbalagan, I.A.S. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval via postal ballot. Thiru Kannan, a 2010 batch IAS officer and current Commissioner of Sugar, has no inter se relation with other directors and does not hold any shares in TNPL. He is confirmed not to be debarred or disqualified from holding the office of director.
