
Tata Motors PV Sales Surge 40% YoY to 201,723 Units in Q2 FY27
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. reported a significant 40% year-on-year growth in total sales for Q2 FY27, reaching 201,723 units compared to 144,397 units in Q2 FY26. This marks the company's highest-ever quarterly sales. The growth was driven by strong performance in both domestic and international markets, with PV Domestic sales up 40% and PV IB sales up 20%. Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles were key growth drivers, with EV sales soaring 90% year-on-year to over 47,000 units, achieving a 23% penetration in the company's portfolio. CNG vehicles also recorded their highest-ever quarterly sales, contributing 28% of total volumes. Together, EV and CNG now constitute 51% of sales, reflecting a shift towards greener mobility. The company also launched new models and unveiled a new customer-facing identity, TATA.CARS.
