Ucal Ltd Receives Show Cause Notice from Commercial Tax Department

Ucal Ltd, formerly UCAL FUEL SYSTEMS LIMITED, has received a show cause notice from the Assistant Commissioner (ST), Ambattur Assessment Circle, Commercial Tax Department. The notice pertains to various discrepancies found in the GST returns/statements filed by the Company for FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24. The discrepancies include short payment of tax on outward supplies, differences in turnover, short payment of tax under RCM, ITC reversal, Credit notes and E-way bill reconciliation. The Company believes that the show cause notice has no merits and will be filing a detailed reply with the required evidence to substantiate its position.
