Unicommerce Q2 FY27: consolidated PAT ₹6.4 Cr, +11% YoY, margins compress on Shipway drag
Unicommerce eSolutions' Q2 FY27 (quarter ended September 30, 2026) consolidated print: revenue from operations of ₹59.08 Cr, up 15.0% YoY (from ₹51.38 Cr) and 15.0% QoQ (from ₹51.37 Cr in Q1 FY27); consolidated PAT of ₹6.39 Cr, up 10.6% YoY (from ₹5.78 Cr) and 36.7% QoQ (from ₹4.68 Cr). PAT growth trailed revenue growth, and with no exceptional item of material size on either side — just a ₹0.15 Cr director-remuneration provision reversal this quarter — the YoY gap is a genuine margin story rather than a base-effect artifact. Consolidated NPM compressed to about 10.5% from 11.1% a year ago, and OPM to roughly 14.2% from 17.8%, even as both improved sequentially from Q1 FY27's 8.9%/10.6%. The compression traces to 100%-owned subsidiary Shipway Technology: the auditors' 'Other Matter' note discloses ₹25.14 Cr revenue and a ₹1.07 Cr net loss for Shipway this quarter (reviewed by another auditor). That loss is why standalone (parent-only, essentially the core Uniware business) PAT of ₹8.19 Cr — up 27.0% YoY, well ahead of the consolidated pace — diverges materially from the Group number; readers comparing the two should expect this gap given Shipway's drag rather than treat either figure as wrong. On last quarter's call, management guided Uniware to >15% YoY growth from Q4 FY27 (versus 12.8% YoY then) and Shipway to 20%+ YoY growth from the same point (versus 16.8% YoY then), with Shipway targeted to reach breakeven by Q3 FY27; separately, management has flagged that group profitability should improve in H2 FY27 as current investments complete. This quarter, standalone revenue grew 14.4% YoY — tracking toward but not yet at the Uniware target — while implied Shipway revenue grew about 15.7% YoY, a touch below the 16.8% pace cited last quarter, and the subsidiary remains loss-making ahead of the guided Q3 FY27 breakeven. On that basis the quarter reads as broadly on-plan rather than a beat or a miss. No analyst consensus or brokerage preview specific to this quarter turned up in search, so the print cannot be graded against Street. Management's own press release accompanying this filing is a bare outcome-of-board-meeting notice with no commentary on the quarter; within the period the company announced a partnership with The Sleep Company (September 22, 2026) for e-commerce fulfilment, a client-side data point consistent with the revenue growth, while the Kenstar partnership and a reported 85% YoY jump in quick-commerce festive volumes both landed after the quarter closed (October 21 and October 14, 2026 respectively) and read as Q3 FY27 indicators rather than drivers of this print. The quarter sets up Q3 FY27 as the checkpoint for Shipway's guided breakeven and for both units' step-up toward their Q4 FY27 growth targets, which this quarter's 14.4%/~15.7% readings sit just below.
