United Breweries Ltd Receives ₹100.83 Cr Tax Refund

United Breweries Ltd has announced the receipt of a total tax refund of ₹100.83 crores. This includes a refund of ₹82.73 crores for Assessment Year 2013-14, received on October 5, 2026, and ₹18.10 crores for Assessment Year 2020-21, received on October 3, 2026. These refunds stem from orders giving effect to previous rulings by the Joint Commissioner of Income Tax. The company has also noted that these outcomes have a positive impact on its working capital and profit & loss account through interest income. While some litigation is ongoing, the company has received significant refunds related to past tax assessments.
