
Varun Beverages Subsidiary Acquires Dairy Business for $32M
Varun Beverages Limited's wholly-owned subsidiary, VBL Industries (Kenya) Limited, has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire the value-added dairy beverages, juices, and packaged drinking water business of Devyani Food Industries (Kenya) Limited for a consideration of USD 32 million (approximately INR 3,050 million). This acquisition is expected to deepen VBL's penetration in Kenya and the broader East African region by leveraging DFIL Kenya's manufacturing infrastructure and distribution capabilities. The transaction, which includes a 52-acre manufacturing facility in Nakuru, Kenya, is anticipated to be completed by August 1, 2026. VBL Kenya is also preparing to launch its carbonated soft drinks range.
