
Vedanta Aluminium Q1 FY27 Production Up 5% YoY to 632 KT
Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited announced its production figures for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly aluminium production, reaching 632,000 tonnes, a 5% increase year-on-year and a 3% increase quarter-on-quarter. This growth was driven by volumes from a new smelter and operational efficiencies. Value-added production also hit a record high, increasing by 14% year-on-year to 389,000 tonnes. Alumina production saw a significant 41% year-on-year rise to 826,000 tonnes, though it decreased by 6% quarter-on-quarter due to unplanned shutdowns. The company also secured environmental and forest clearances for the Sijimali Bauxite Block and executed a mining lease for the Kuraloi (A) North Coal Block.
