Fedbank Financial Services (Fedfina) reported standalone PAT of ₹130.75 Cr for Q2 FY27, up 63.1% YoY from ₹80.15 Cr and 14.3% QoQ from ₹114.38 Cr. Total income rose 34.3% YoY and 7.4% QoQ to ₹719.79 Cr, led by interest income of ₹692.01 Cr. EPS came in at ₹3.56 (basic) versus ₹2.15 a year ago. Net profit margin expanded to 18.17% from 17.07% in Q1 FY27 and 14.95% a year ago — the fourth straight quarter of YoY margin expansion.
Q2 FY-2027 vs prior quarters
The margin bridge is mostly a credit-cost story: impairment/provisioning expense fell to ₹27.08 Cr from ₹34.06 Cr in Q1 FY27 (-20.5% QoQ) and from ₹31.52 Cr a year ago, even as the loan book kept scaling — standalone loans grew to ₹16,020 Cr from ₹14,319 Cr at FY26-end (+11.9% in H1, tracking the high end of management's 20-22% FY27 overall growth guidance from the July 2026 concall). Finance cost and employee costs grew roughly in line with income, so total expenses (+26.4% YoY) rose slower than total income (+34.3% YoY), giving positive operating leverage. One caveat: GNPA/NNPA ticked up sequentially to 1.82%/1.18% from 1.55%/0.96% in Q1 FY27 (though both are still better than the 1.90%/1.30% a year ago), and provision coverage slipped to 35.37% from 38.36% in Q1 — a point worth watching given the pace of loan growth. CRAR held steady at 20.96% (20.71% in Q1), while the debt-equity ratio rose to 4.61x from 3.78x a year ago as borrowings (₹11,798 Cr vs ₹10,837 Cr at FY26-end) scaled to fund growth, consistent with the board's August 2026 approval of a higher borrowing limit.
The stock went into the print at ₹153.38, up 0.1% over the past month of trading.
For context: this is the highest quarterly PAT in the last 6 quarters on our records; PAT has now risen for 5 consecutive quarters; revenue is at a 6-quarter high.
Fedbank Financial Services provided a positive outlook for FY27, expecting overall entity growth of 20-22%, with gold loans projected to grow 25-30% (excluding price changes) and mortgage AUM by 15-20%. The company reaffirmed its guidance for credit costs to remain below 1% and aims to expand ROA by 20-30 bps. Strategi
— This quarter: beat
No Q2 FY27-specific street estimates were found in public sources as of result day (Oct 15, 2026); Q1 FY27 had beaten brokerage PPoP/PAT estimates by roughly 10%/13.5%, and this quarter's growth and margin trajectory look consistent with that pattern of outperformance, though it cannot be confirmed as a formal beat without a published Q2 estimate. Against management's own FY27 framework — 20-22% overall growth, gold loans 25-30%, mortgage AUM 15-20%, credit costs under 1%, and 20-30bps of ROA expansion — this quarter's income and loan growth are tracking ahead of plan and credit costs stayed controlled, so the print reads as on-track-to-ahead of guidance. No dedicated management press release accompanied this filing; the only other quarter-relevant development was the October 9, 2026 announcement of the CHRO's resignation, a governance item with no direct read-through to this quarter's already-completed numbers.
