HMT Ltd has been ordered by the Deputy Conservator of Forests, Bengaluru, to hand over 430 acres and 21.853 guntas of land. This land was originally granted, conveyed, and gifted by the Government of Karnataka to M/s. Hindustan Machine Tools Limited (now HMT Machine Tools Limited) and the company has paid all transactional amounts and is in possession. The Karnataka Forest Department has suggested an appeal to the Conservator of Forest. This matter is already sub judice before the Supreme Court, and HMT Ltd is taking all necessary legal actions to protect its interests.

HMT Ltd has received notices from BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) imposing a fine of ₹1,71,100 each (inclusive of GST) for non-compliance with Regulation 33 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. The non-compliance pertains to the non-submission of financial results for the quarter/year ended March 31, 2026, by the prescribed deadline of May 30, 2026. The company stated that the fine amount will increase daily until compliance is achieved. Efforts are underway to submit the audited financial results (standalone and consolidated) at the earliest.

Ramesh Kumar, Executive Director (SBD) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), as Chairman & Managing Director (Additional Charge) for a period of one year or till the joining of the regular incumbent, or until further orders. This appointment is subject to the ex-post facto approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Shri. N. Ramesh Kumar is not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any order passed by SEBI or any other such authority. He has more than 35 years of industry experience and has worked in diverse areas of advanced technologies. He has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director, HMT Limited w.e.f. 25.03.2026.

The Company is taking necessary action to complete the appointment formalities in compliance with provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
