Mahindra Logistics turns around: Q1 consolidated PAT ₹27.8 Cr on 23% revenue jump

Mahindra Logistics delivered a clean year-on-year turnaround in Q1 FY27, swinging to a consolidated net profit of ₹27.83 Cr from a ₹9.44 Cr loss in the year-ago June quarter, as revenue from operations rose 23.3% YoY to ₹2,002.88 Cr. The prior-year loss was operational (no exceptional items either side), so the turnaround is underlying, not a one-off artifact. Sequentially profit grew 24.5% (from ₹22.36 Cr) on 11.8% higher revenue — a genuine improvement rather than seasonality, since logistics carries no strong quarterly cyclicality. The profit swing is a revenue-and-cost-leverage story. Net margin expanded to 1.39% from -0.58% a year ago (1.25% last quarter), helped by finance costs falling to ₹13.83 Cr from ₹22.53 Cr YoY as the ₹749 Cr FY26 rights issue de-levered the balance sheet. Operating margin improved to ~5.8% YoY (from 4.7%) but slipped from ~6.3% last quarter, so the sequential bottom-line gain leans on lower interest and a favourable ₹3.98 Cr deferred-tax credit rather than pure operating expansion. Segment mix shows Supply Chain Management revenue up 22.5% YoY to ₹1,891.92 Cr with segment result swinging to ₹37.33 Cr from a ₹10.38 Cr loss, while Enterprise Mobility Services grew 41% to ₹115.45 Cr. Against the last concall, where management guided for continued margin expansion, operating-leverage benefits and the Express business approaching EBITDA breakeven, this print is on-track: profitability improved and the SCM segment loss reversed. On street expectations, thin sell-side coverage (MarketScreener consensus ~₹1,851 Cr revenue / ₹1.80 EPS for the quarter) was beaten on both revenue (₹2,003 Cr) and EPS (₹2.56 consolidated). Standalone tells the same direction more modestly — PAT ₹29.00 Cr vs ₹6.44 Cr YoY on ₹1,654.89 Cr revenue (+23%) — with no material divergence in the growth narrative. Management gives no hard revenue/PAT number guidance; results were approved 20 July with a limited review by Deloitte (unmodified).
