Allied Blenders Commences Malt Distillery Operations in Telangana

Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABD) has announced the commencement of commercial operations at its new malt distillery in Rangapur, Telangana. The greenfield facility has an approved manufacturing capacity of 4.4 million BL per annum. This move signifies ABD's backward integration strategy, enabling in-house production of malt spirit for its whisky portfolio. The distillery will enhance quality control, ensure supply continuity, support new product development, and allow for the laying down of malt spirit for future single malt whisky offerings. The facility integrates grain distillation, PET bottle production, bottling, and now malt distillation, creating a self-reliant manufacturing hub.
