Apollo Micro Systems Empanelled by Indian Air Force for IPREK Programme

Apollo Micro Systems Limited (AMS) has been formally shortlisted and empanelled by the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a Prime Development Agency for the Indigenous Precision Range Extension Kit (IPREK) programme. This initiative falls under the Make-II (Industry Funded) category of India's Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020 (DAP-2020). The IPREK is a bolt-on kit designed to convert existing General Purpose (GP) 500 Kg unguided bombs into long-range precision glide weapons, capable of striking targets within 3 meters from over 80-100 km. This development marks AMS's entry into the high-value precision guided munition segment, reducing India's import dependency and enhancing its air power capabilities. The programme involves an initial procurement phase of over 500 units, presenting a significant, multi-year revenue opportunity for AMS.
