BHEL Secures ₹21,000 Cr EPC Order for 3x800 MW Meja STPP Stage-II

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from Meja Urja Nigam Private Ltd. (MUNPL) for the EPC package of the 3x800 MW Meja Supercritical Thermal Power Project Stage-II. The contract, valued at over ₹21,000 Crores (excluding GST), encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning. The project is located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and is expected to be completed within 70 months from the date of the NOA. MUNPL is a joint venture between NTPC Ltd. and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. This significant order underscores BHEL's capabilities in executing large-scale power projects.
