Bharti Airtel: ICIL Acquires 2.35% Stake via Preferential Allotment

Bharti Airtel Limited has announced a preferential allotment of 146,761,335 fully paid-up equity shares to Indian Continent Investment Limited (ICIL). This transaction, valued at approximately ₹30,467,799,900, represents a 2.35% stake in Bharti Airtel. ICIL's acquisition is in exchange for its approximately 16.3% shareholding in Airtel Africa plc, a UK-listed subsidiary. The deal was executed on June 23, 2026, and has adjusted Bharti Airtel's total equity share capital. Bharti Telecom Limited's shareholding remains unchanged.
