Cube Highways Trust: WVEPL Wins 1423-Day Concession Extension in Arbitration

Cube Highways Trust has disclosed a material issue concerning its project SPV, Walayar Vadakkencherry Expressway Private Limited (WVEPL). WVEPL had initiated arbitration proceedings against the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) seeking an extension of its concession period. An arbitral award dated September 21, 2026, has granted WVEPL an extension of 1423 days. The tribunal also ruled that NHAI's proposed reduction of the concession period by 1.5 years was invalid and not binding on WVEPL. This outcome is significant for the project's revenue stream and operational timeline.
