Deccan Gold: Bhalukona project shows potential for 4 Million Tonnes
Deccan Gold Mines Limited has announced a significant milestone at its Bhalukona Nickel-Copper-Platinum Group Elements (Ni-Cu-PGE) project in Chhattisgarh. Preliminary geological modelling, based on exploration drilling data, indicates a potential for over 4 million tonnes of mineralisation, grading approximately 0.24% nickel equivalent (Ni_Eq). This estimate covers only about 25% of the identified 1.3-km mineralised corridor and near-surface mineralisation, suggesting substantial further exploration potential. The project has undergone extensive exploration, including 15 drill holes totalling 2,773 metres, identifying a layered mafic-ultramafic geological formation. This development is crucial for India's critical-minerals ambitions, aiming to enhance domestic resource security and strengthen supply chains.
