Deccan Gold Mines: Bhalukona deposit shows over 4Mt potential
Deccan Gold Mines Limited has announced preliminary geological modelling of its Bhalukona Ni-Cu-PGE deposits in Chhattisgarh. The modelling suggests a potential of over 4 million tonnes (Mt) of ore with an average nickel-equivalent grade of approximately 0.24%, translating to over 10,000 tonnes of nickel-equivalent metal. This estimate covers only about 25% of the identified 1.3km mineralised corridor and excludes potential repetitions. The company emphasizes that these are preliminary exploration-stage interpretations and not defined mineral resources or reserves. The Bhalukona licence, granted in April 2025, is a 30 sq. km block in Mahasamund District. Exploration activities have confirmed a layered mafic-ultramafic intrusion hosting Ni-Cu-PGE sulphide mineralisation.
