GIC Re Appoints Hitesh Rameshchandra Joshi as CMD

General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) has announced the appointment of Shri Hitesh Rameshchandra Joshi as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD). The appointment, approved by the Central Government, is effective from June 16, 2026, until his superannuation on September 30, 2028, or until further orders. Shri Joshi, currently an Executive Director at GIC Re, brings extensive experience across various functions including reinsurance, finance, risk management, and international business operations. He is not related to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding office.
