Grasim's Subsidiary Acquires Solenergi Power for Renewables Expansion

Grasim Industries Ltd announced that its subsidiary, Aditya Birla Renewables Limited (ABReN), will acquire 100% of Solenergi Power Private Limited (SPPL) and its subsidiaries from Shell Overseas Investment B.V. SPPL is an investment holding company for Sprng Energy Private Limited and Sprng Solar Plus Private Limited. This acquisition will add approximately 5.0 GWp of contracted renewable energy capacity, comprising 3.3 GWp operational and 1.7 GWp under construction, to ABReN's portfolio. The deal aims to accelerate Grasim's renewable energy footprint expansion and aligns with the group's sustainability objectives. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. SPPL reported a consolidated turnover of INR 1,253.4 crore for FY25.
