Grasim Industries Ltd has inaugurated Phase 1 of its CPVC Resin manufacturing plant in Vilayat, Gujarat. This facility, a collaboration with Lubrizol Advanced Materials India Private Limited, has a planned capacity of approximately 50,000 metric tonnes per annum. This expansion will add 110,000 TPA of Lyocell capacity, with two lines of 55,000 TPA each. The first line is expected to be commissioned by mid-2028 and the second by mid-2030. This follows a previously approved Phase I expansion of 55,000 TPA. The investment aims to support growing global demand for sustainable textile materials and will increase Grasim's total Cellulosic Staple Fibre (CSF) capacity to over 1 million tonnes annually by 2030. The expansion will be financed through a mix of internal accruals and borrowed funds.

Upon completion, Grasim's total Lyocell capacity will reach nearly 210,000 TPA, and its overall Cellulosic Fibres capacity is projected to surpass 1 million tonnes annually by 2030, reinforcing its global leadership in Man-Made Cellulosic Fibres.

Grasim Industries Ltd's board has approved an investment of up to ₹2,880 crore in Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL), its subsidiary, through a preferential issue of equity shares. ABCL is raising up to ₹4,000 crore, with the remaining ₹920 crore coming from International Finance Corporation. The preferential issuance will be at ₹356.02 per equity share. Grasim's shareholding in ABCL will increase from 52.27% to 53.08%. The funds will be used to strengthen ABCL's capital base and for growth objectives, including lending business and investments in subsidiaries/joint ventures/associates.

Grasim Industries reported record consolidated revenue of ₹1,75,431 Cr for FY26, an 18% YoY increase, with EBITDA reaching ₹25,872 Cr, up 29% YoY. Adjusted PAT grew by 33% YoY to ₹5,203 Cr. Q4FY26 revenue and EBITDA also hit record highs at ₹51,101 Cr and ₹8,011 Cr, respectively, driven by Building Materials, Financial Services, and Cellulosic Fibres. Standalone revenue for FY26 reached ₹41,039 Cr, up 30% YoY, while Q4FY26 standalone revenue was ₹11,774 Cr, up 32% YoY.
