Hexagon Nutrition Subsidiary Faces ₹1.04 Cr Customs Duty Demand

Hexagon Nutrition Exports Private Limited (HNEPL), a former subsidiary now amalgamated with Hexagon Nutrition Ltd (HNL), has received an order from the Commissioner of Customs-Chennai III demanding customs duty, interest, and penalty totaling ₹1,04,71,989. The demand arises from an alleged misclassification of CTH codes for products sold to DTA units. HNL strongly disagrees with the findings and plans to file an appeal, believing it has a strong case. The company stated the immediate financial impact is limited to the demand and penalty, with no material impact expected on operational activities due to the anticipated favorable outcome at the appellate level. The disclosure was made on September 1, 2026, following receipt of the order on August 29, 2026.
