IndiGo Signs MoU for 1,000+ LEAP-1A Engines with CFM

IndiGo has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CFM International for over 1,000 LEAP-1A engines, intended to power 510 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. This marks the largest single order for LEAP engines and a record for CFM. The agreement also includes CFM's support in establishing IndiGo's engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility and a long-term material services agreement. This deal signifies a deepening partnership between IndiGo and CFM, a joint venture between Safran Aircraft Engines and GE Aerospace, highlighting IndiGo's growth ambitions and commitment to operational efficiency and sustainability.
