Jupiter Wagons Secures ₹1,140 Cr Wagon Order from Railways

Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL) has secured a significant order from the Ministry of Railways for the manufacture and supply of 2,583 wagons, comprising BOXNHL and BOXNS types. The total value of this order is INR 1,140 crore (including taxes). This award underscores JWL's consistent performance in Indian Railways' procurement program. The company also maintains a strong order book from the private sector, including freight operators and leasing companies, indicating a diversified and resilient pipeline. JWL anticipates further order inflows of approximately INR 2,000 crore in Q4 FY27. The company's Managing Director, Mr. Vivek Lohia, highlighted JWL's backward integration strategy and its expansion into wheelset manufacturing as key strengths for cost control and timely delivery. This order aligns with the Government of India's National Rail Plan to increase rail freight share.
