
Kernex Microsystems Commissions Kavach System on North Central Railway
Kernex Microsystems India Ltd announced the successful commissioning of its Kavach Version 4.0 system on the 207 km Tundla-Panki Dham section of North Central Railway. This upgraded system supports train operations at speeds up to 130 kmph, increasing the total Kavach Version 4.0 coverage in the region to 652 route kilometers, with Kernex executing 572 km. Notably, Kernex's system demonstrated support for speeds up to 160 kmph over a 175 km section. The project involved extensive installations, including 39 stations and 10 locomotives, and successfully integrated with Hitachi's Electronic Interlocking System. The commissioning was validated by RDSO and Italcertifier, reinforcing Kernex's position in India's indigenous railway safety system.
