L&T Secures Ultra-Mega Framework Agreement for 2 GW Offshore Wind Programme
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), in consortium with Hitachi Energy, has secured a Framework Cooperation Agreement (FCA) with TenneT for a 2 GW offshore wind programme. This agreement covers six projects and future opportunities under TenneT's 2-GW HVDC programme, aiming to accelerate Europe's renewable energy transition. The consortium will execute two ongoing projects (IJmuiden Ver Alpha, Nederwiek 1) and commence two new ones (Nederwiek 3 in Netherlands, LanWin 5 in Germany), totaling 8 GW capacity. L&T will handle offshore converter platforms and infrastructure, while Hitachi Energy provides HVDC Light® technology. This deal significantly strengthens L&T's international presence in sustainable energy infrastructure.
