NTPC Green Energy adds 77.67 MW capacity

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has announced the commercial operation of two projects through its stepdown subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. This includes 68.22 MW from the Gujarat Solar PV Project at Dahod and 9.45 MW from the Vanki Wind Energy Project in Kutch, Gujarat. The solar project's capacity was declared operational effective July 23, 2026, based on a certificate from Gujarat Energy Development Agency. The wind project's capacity commenced commercial operation on September 19, 2026. These additions bring the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group to 10,911.08 MW and 10,920.53 MW respectively, with commercial capacities also updated. The overall NTPC group's installed capacity now stands at 91,164 MW, and commercial capacity at 90,084 MW.
