NTPC Subsidiary Declares Commercial Operation of 50 MW Solar Capacity

NTPC Ltd's subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has declared the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for a 50 MW solar capacity component of its 200 MW RE Round The Clock (RTC) project in Rajasthan. This brings the cumulative solar capacity to 250 MW out of a 300 MW solar component. The project is being executed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of NGEL's joint venture with ONGC. This addition increases the total installed capacity of the NTPC group to 90,857 MW and the commercial capacity to 88,977 MW. NGEL group's commercial capacity now stands at 10,621.40 MW, with the total installed capacity reaching 10,671.40 MW.
