Orchid Pharma Signs Licensing Deal for Exblifep in Russia

Orchid Pharma Ltd. has entered into a licensing and supply agreement with Pharmasyntez JSC, Russia, to commercialize its novel antibiotic, Exblifep® (cefepime/enmetazobactam), in the Russian market. Pharmasyntez will hold exclusive rights for registration and commercialization, while Orchid will supply the finished dosage form. This partnership is projected to be worth approximately USD 178 million over the first 10 years. Exblifep is approved by the US FDA and EMA for complicated urinary tract infections and hospital-acquired pneumonia. The agreement aims to address the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance and make Exblifep accessible to Russian patients.
