Oriental Rail Infra Signs Tech Pact with UWC's VNICTT

Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited (ORIL), through its subsidiary Oriental Foundry Private Limited (OFPL), has entered into a Technology Development Agreement with Russia-based United Wagon Company's (UWC) design and engineering arm, VNICTT. VNICTT will design and develop a 25-tonne axle-load bogie and a solid-bottom gondola car. This collaboration aims to enhance ORIL's product portfolio and rolling stock capabilities by leveraging VNICTT's expertise, leading to higher payload capacity, improved efficiency, and a broader product range to meet evolving freight requirements in the Indian railway sector.
