Praj Industries Partners Gevo for Bio-IBA Commercialization in India

Praj Industries Ltd. has entered into a Development & Commercialization Agreement with Gevo Inc. to commercialize Bio-Isobutanol (Bio-IBA) technology in India. Praj will have exclusive rights to deploy the technology in the country, focusing on diesel blending applications to reduce carbon intensity. This partnership builds on over a decade of collaboration and leverages Praj's expertise in Indian feedstocks and engineering with Gevo's Bio-IBA technology. Praj is also developing India's first commercial Bio-IBA demonstration plant for an OMC. Bio-IBA offers a significant opportunity to decarbonize India's large diesel economy and supports the nation's energy transition goals, with potential applications in transportation, agriculture, mining, and industrial operations. The molecule also serves as a platform for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and other renewable chemicals.
