RCF & GAIL Sign MoU for Joint Gas-Based Fertilizer Project

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) and GAIL (India) Limited (GAIL) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 29, 2026. The agreement is for establishing a joint gas-based fertilizer project in Maharashtra through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). The proposed urea production facility will have a planned capacity of 1.27 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) and is envisioned to be located in the Vidarbha region, along GAIL's Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline (MNJPL). This collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both companies in the fertilizer and natural gas sectors.
