REC Sells Ryapte Power Transmission SPV to Tata Power for ₹71.08 Cr

REC Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary RECPDCL, has divested its entire shareholding in Ryapte Power Transmission Limited. The transfer, completed on July 30, 2026, involved 50,000 equity shares and all associated assets and liabilities. The successful bidder, The Tata Power Company Limited, acquired the SPV for a consideration of ₹71,08,62,034 (including taxes). This transaction signifies the SPV is no longer a subsidiary of RECPDCL or REC Limited. The sale was conducted through a tariff-based competitive bidding process and is not considered a slump sale or a related party transaction.
