RPG Life Sciences Subsidiary Acquires API Business for Up to ₹135 Cr
RPG Life Sciences Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, RPG Active Pharma Limited (RPGAP), has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Intermediates business of Raghava Life Sciences Private Limited for a consideration up to ₹135 crore. This acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is a strategic move to bolster RPGAP's integrated API play. The acquired business includes a state-of-the-art EU-GMP approved plant with approximately 300 KL installed capacity, a portfolio of 22 commercialized APIs and 7 under development across key therapeutic segments. This is RPGAP's second strategic acquisition, following Actis Generics, aimed at creating a scaled API company with expanded manufacturing footprint, product portfolio, customer base, and export opportunities.
