Motherson Subsidiary Fined USD 19,500 by NY State Board

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited disclosed that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Motherson Technology Services USA Limited (MSID USA), received a penalty notice from the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board (NYS WCB). The penalty amounts to USD 19,500 (approximately INR 18.67 Lakhs). The notice alleges that MSID USA failed to provide workers' compensation insurance coverage for its employees between December 4, 2024, and January 3, 2026. MSID USA plans to appeal the notice, stating it had no employees in New York during the specified period. The company has indicated that this penalty will not have a material impact on its financials or operations.
