SJVN Achieves COD of 75 MW Jamui Solar Project in Bihar
SJVN Ltd has announced the successful achievement of Commercial Operation Date (COD) for its 75 MW Jamui Solar Power Project located in Bihar. Executed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), the project is expected to generate approximately 90 million units of electricity in its first year and 3,522 million units over 25 years. Developed on 300 acres at a cost of ₹342 crore, the project will supply power to the State of Bihar at a tariff of ₹2.96 per unit. This commissioning contributes to India's renewable energy targets and aims to reduce carbon emissions by an estimated 82,250.74 tonnes annually. The project also brings direct and indirect employment opportunities to the local community.
