SJVN's 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Project Inaugurated

SJVN Ltd's 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project, developed by its subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), has been inaugurated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister. This project, representing India's largest single EPC solar project under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) category at a single location, involved an investment of approximately ₹5,492 crore. It is expected to generate over 2,454 million units of electricity in its first year and 56,482 million units over its 25-year operational life. The project aligns with India's renewable energy goals, supports Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by utilizing domestically manufactured solar modules and cells, and is projected to reduce carbon emissions significantly. It also contributes to regional socio-economic development through employment generation and infrastructure enhancement.
