TCS Launches India's First Lights-Out Factory Lab in Pune

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched India's first lights-out factory lab, the TCS Industrial Autonomy & Engineering Lab – Lights-Out Factory, at its Sahyadri Park campus in Pune. This facility aims to demonstrate and advance AI-first manufacturing by simulating autonomous operations with minimal human intervention. It integrates technologies like AI, digital twins, robotics, and factory control systems on a robotic battery pack assembly line. The lab will help manufacturers prototype, validate, and scale AI-first production systems, reducing deployment risks and translating Industry 4.0 concepts into practical operating models. This initiative is part of TCS's broader strategy to enhance industrial autonomy and engineering capabilities, following the launch of a similar lab in Bengaluru.
