TVS Motor Launches iQube Electric Scooter in Kenya

TVS Motor Company has expanded its global electric vehicle (EV) presence by launching its premium electric scooter, the TVS iQube, in Kenya. This marks the company's first entry into the African market and positions TVS Motor as the first Indian Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to introduce a premium electric scooter on the continent. The launch aligns with TVS Motor's commitment to sustainable mobility and its vision to offer innovative electric solutions internationally. The TVS iQube will be available in two variants: TVS iQube 3.5 with a 3.5 kWh battery offering a 115 km range, and TVS iQube 2.2 with a 2.2 kWh battery providing a 75 km range. Both models feature a 4.6 kW motor, a top speed of 82 km/h, and advanced connectivity features through the TVS SMARTXONNECT platform. The company highlighted the growing EV market in Africa, with forecasts indicating significant CAGR growth through 2030-31.
