Vedanta Aluminium Launches Two Advanced Alloys for Auto Industry

Vedanta Aluminium has launched two new advanced metal offerings, Copper-Doped Alloy and Vedanta Foundry Alloy (VFA), aimed at enhancing the automotive sector. These alloys are designed to create lighter, safer, and more efficient vehicles, supporting the industry's evolution towards next-generation mobility. The launch occurred at Vedanta Aluminium's AutoEdge 2026 conclave. The company is also expanding its primary billet production capacity to 1.25 million tonnes per annum and aims to increase value-added products to 90% of its portfolio. These innovations align with India's 'Make in India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives, boosting domestic sourcing and reducing import dependency.
