Websol Energy Gets 54.2 Acres Land for 4 GW Solar Facility

Websol Energy System Ltd has been allotted approximately 54.20 acres of land by the Government of West Bengal at Falta Industrial Park for its proposed greenfield solar manufacturing facility. This new facility will have a capacity of 4 GW for solar cells and 4 GW for solar modules, to be developed in two phases. The company chose West Bengal to leverage its existing operational experience, skilled workforce, and established supplier relationships, aiming for faster execution. This expansion is part of Websol's strategy to contribute to India's growing renewable energy needs and strengthen domestic solar manufacturing capabilities.
