Whirlpool India Q1 Revenue Up 12% to ₹2727 Cr, PBT Down 29%
Whirlpool of India reported a 12% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue from operations to ₹2727 Cr for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. This growth was attributed to market share gains in refrigerators and washers, industry volume growth, price increases, and premiumization. However, consolidated Profit Before Tax (PBT) decreased by 29% YoY to ₹139 Cr, impacted by commodity inflation, rising crude oil prices, currency depreciation, new energy regulations, and incremental e-waste provisions. The company's subsidiary, Elica India, saw a 26% revenue increase. Whirlpool maintained its #2 position in MBO volume market share for refrigerators and washers combined and #1 in direct cool refrigerators.
