Whirlpool of India pays ₹50,000 compounding fee

Whirlpool of India Ltd has disclosed a one-time compounding fee of INR 50,000 paid to the Department of Legal Metrology, Andhra Pradesh. This fee was levied under the Legal Metrology Act, 2009, and related rules for a contravention concerning inadequate information captured on product packages. The company opted for compounding to avoid litigation. Whirlpool of India stated that apart from the compounding fee, there is no other impact on its financial or operational activities.
