Gujarat High Court quashes GST demand against Zodiac Energy

Zodiac Energy Ltd has received a favorable order from the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad. The court has quashed and set aside a Show Cause Notice (SCN) dated June 30, 2025, and a consequential order dated December 24, 2025, issued by the Assistant Commissioner of State Tax. These notices pertained to an alleged GST demand for the financial year 2018-19, including interest and penalties, related to the supply and installation of solar power generating systems. The High Court ruled that the ingredients of Section 74 of the GST legislation were not attracted. Consequently, there is no impact on the financial, operational, or other activities of the company.
