Gujarat State Financial Corporation (GSFC) announced the appointment of Mrs. Mayaben M Dabhi as a Director on its Board, effective June 20, 2026. She replaces Smt. Ankitaben R Christian. Mrs. Dabhi, a Financial Advisor with 26 years of government experience, holds a B.Sc. from Gujarat University. She is not debarred by SEBI and is not related to any existing directors. Shri Lalit Gupta, Senior Divisional Manager at LIC of India, Gandhinagar, has assumed the office of Director on the Board of Directors of Gujarat State Financial Corporation (GSFC) on June 01, 2026. This appointment follows his nomination by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Mumbai, replacing Shri Daiya P.L., who ceased to be a Director effective May 31, 2026. The changes are pursuant to Section 10 (d) of the State Financial Corporations Act, 1951.

Gujarat State Financial Corporation (GSFC) has been fined ₹9,67,600 by BSE Ltd for non-compliance with Corporate Governance requirements under SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 for the quarter ended March 31, 2026. The non-compliance relates to regulations 17 (1), 17 (2A), 18 (I) and 19 (1)/19(2) regarding the non-appointment of independent directors and quorum of meetings. GSFC contends that its composition of the Board is governed by the State Financial Corporations Act, 1951, which does not provide for independent directors. GSFC has requested BSE to reconsider the fine, stating no impact on financial operations is envisaged.
