The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), New Delhi, has dismissed the Income Tax Department's appeal and ruled in favor of TV Today Network Ltd for Assessment Year 2018-19. The dispute involved ₹12,46,14,878 out of five grounds initially decided by CIT Appeals in favor of the company, and ₹1,52,42,500 which was dismissed, against which the company filed an appeal. The ITAT admitted the company's appeal and ruled in its favor, while dismissing the department's appeal on all three grounds involving ₹12,43,38,323.

TV Today Network Ltd's Board approved the standalone and consolidated audited financial results for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026, in a meeting held on May 15, 2026. The board also approved an investment of ₹50 lakh in Mail Today Newspapers Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary, through a rights issue subscription.

TV Today Network Ltd has received a demand notice of Rs. 11,16,14,958/- for the Financial Year 2019-20 from the Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax (ACIT) Circle 25(1) Delhi. The demand notice was received after a rectification order passed under Section 154 read with Section 143(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The demand is due to an incorrect set off of carried forward losses, but there is no material impact on the financials, operations, or other activities of the Company. The Company plans to file an appeal before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) against the demand notice.

TV Today Network Ltd has received an order dated February 05, 2026 from Commissioner CGST (Appeals) Noida against the appeal filed on November 21, 2024 by the Company. The order raises a revised demand of ITC of Rs. 1,95,48,739/- plus applicable interest and penalty of Rs 19,54,873/- against the original demand of Rs. 2,16,11,820/- for contention of short payment of tax and ineligible Input Tax Credit availed by the Company for FY 2019-20. The Company will file an appeal against the aforesaid order before the Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) in due course. As of now, there is no financial impact of the Order.
