Veegaland Developers Q1 FY27: PAT surges 203% YoY to ₹9.72 Cr, margin expands to 12.9%
Veegaland Developers posted standalone revenue of ₹74.32 Cr for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 (Q1 FY27), up 79.1% YoY from ₹41.50 Cr, with net profit up 202.6% YoY to ₹9.72 Cr from ₹3.21 Cr — a real-estate revenue-recognition-driven print rather than a one-off, as no exceptional items appear in the statement. Sequentially (vs the Mar-26 quarter), growth was far more modest: revenue +5.7% and PAT +5.8%, so the headline YoY surge is the real story and the QoQ move is incidental, not a fresh acceleration.
The margin expansion is the clearer structural signal: net margin rose to 12.86% from 7.65% a year ago (and was roughly flat sequentially at 12.79% in Mar-26). The bridge is on financing and employee costs — finance costs fell to 1.5% of revenue from 4.0% a year ago, and employee expense fell to 3.0% of revenue from 5.1%, both consistent with the balance-sheet strengthening from the FY26 rights issue and bonus allotment (4:1) referenced in the filing's notes, well ahead of the IPO itself. Operating cost and other-expense ratios were broadly stable.
Management issued no press release and set no formal guidance in our records or in a web search, so there is no prior outlook to grade this print against, and no analyst/street estimates were found either — unsurprising, since the company is newly listed (IPO of 1.5 Cr shares at ₹140/share completed after this quarter-end, listing on NSE/BSE on 18 September 2026) and pre-IPO coverage for a small real-estate developer is thin. The quarter's other governance developments — appointment of a compliance officer, adoption of a fair disclosure policy, and Kochouseph Thomas Chittilappilly acquiring a 2.26% stake — are listing-readiness and post-listing-interest items, not operational drivers of this P&L. EPS was ₹2.88 (basic and diluted) on a paid-up capital of ₹33.75 Cr, flat per-share versus the already-enlarged post-bonus share base used in the Mar-26 quarter.
Going into Q2 FY27 (Sep-26 quarter), the first full quarter after listing, the key test is whether the margin gain holds as the cost base and asset mix shift with the ~₹210 Cr IPO proceeds now on the balance sheet.
