ABD Launches Local Production in Malaysia for Officer's Choice Blue

Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABD), a leading Indian spirits company and the country's largest exporter by volume, has announced its strategic expansion into Malaysia through the local production of its popular brand, Officer's Choice Blue. This marks ABD's first overseas local production arrangement, utilizing an asset-light co-bottling model with a local partner. The move aims to strengthen ABD's export-led international growth agenda and deepen its presence in global markets. The company currently exports to 39 countries and sees significant growth potential in the Malaysian spirits segment, which is projected to grow in the mid-teens. ABD plans to offer Officer's Choice Blue in multiple variants and may introduce additional brands in the future, while retaining control over key aspects like raw materials and quality.
