L&T Secures Large Order for Dubai Airport People Mover System

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), in consortium with Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), has won a significant order to design and build the Automated People Mover (APM) System for Phase 1 of Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport. This project is a crucial part of the airport's expansion to become the world's largest. L&T's scope includes the turnkey delivery of the integrated APM system, covering design, construction, supply, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness. The order is classified as 'Large' by L&T's internal classification, indicating a value between ₹2,500 Cr to ₹5,000 Cr. This win strengthens L&T's position in the GCC's growing mobility infrastructure sector.
